Spy Light is a Morse Code App with a twist. Not only can it send morse code, but as far as we know, this is the only App that can receive it too! This little utility works best at night as it relies on the Camera flash being detected.

It is great fun as a kids game because the signals can also be encoded, so secret messages can be sent and received. We have tested this at distances of several hundred yards in the dark. ​Spylight works on iPhone4, iPad2 and iPodTouch 4th gen onward as it requires use of both front and rear facing cameras.

 

 

Word Chaser is a terrific turn about word game. The computer will generate a series of words on the screen which you must 'chase' around to create as many new words and Combos as possible. The more letters and Combos you create, the better your score.

Word Chaser is great for learning new vocabulary (there's a lot of 'what does that mean?' when the computer generates the words) but it is mostly a battle against not only your opponent, but yourself. The better you score, the longer you can keep your round going before it becomes your opponents' turn.

When all the letters are used up, the player with the highest score wins.

 

Word Chaser requires a Facebook log in, but you don't have to give publish permissions to play (but you do need them to access the all-time high scores). You do need to give access to your friends list so you can invite them to a game. Word Chaser will NOT access or use any other friend data.
